<br />City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />July 8, 2009 <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz stated that it would be important that the City uses the correct plant <br />types and then periodically recheck the vegetation. He suggested having someone come in <br />to assist with maintenance in the second and third years. He stated that, once the correct <br />vegetation has been established, the permit would get closed. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that if Centerville does not properly maintain this <br />wetland area, the RCWD could hire someone, at Centerville's expense. <br /> <br />Motion bv Mavor Canra. seconded bv Council Member Fehrenbacher. to annrove a <br />contract with Prairie Restorations. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />5. Pedestrian & Bicvcle Ramos/Curb Cut Outs on CSAH 14 at Lakeland Circle and <br />Peltier Lake Drive <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that Public Works requested that the Parks & <br />Recreation Committee bring up the issue of the pedestrian and bicycle ramps/curb cut outs <br />on CSAH 14 at Lakeland Circle and Peltier Lake Drive. Mr. Peterson noticed a safety <br />issue with bikes and pedestrians crossing CSAH 14 at Lakeland Circle. Vice-Chairperson <br />Kevin Amundsen stated that there is the same issue at Peltier Lake Drive and CSAH 14, <br />but actually worse, because there is a hill and a corner at that location. <br /> <br />The Parks & Recreation Committee recommended that the City Council bring this issue to <br />the attention of the Anoka County Highway Department and investigate what can be done <br />to make the trail access at Lakeland Circle and Peltier Lake Drive more safe. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion bv Mavor Canra. seconded bv Council Member Fehrenbacher. to send a <br />letter to Anoka County reouestinl! that somethinl! be done to make the trail accesses <br />at Lakeland Circle and Peltier Lake Drive more safe. and to ask the County what <br />their rationale is. ifthev decline. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />6. Res. #09-019 - Assigning Duties as Thev Relate to Handling Banking Transactions <br /> <br />Mayor Capra recommended the following, as they relate to handling banking transactions <br />for the City of Centerville: <br /> <br />a. Authorization for the establishment of new accounts or the withdrawal of <br />funds from the City's bank account(s) through cash, checks or electronic <br />means shall require two signatures of the following three positions: Mayor, <br />Acting-Mayor and City Administrator. <br /> <br />b. Authorization to transfer funds within existing accounts of the City of <br />Centerville may be accomplished by written, telephone or electronic means <br />by one of the following positions: City Administrator Dallas Larson or <br />Finance Director Michael Jeziorski. <br /> <br />Page40f6 <br />
