<br />, <br /> <br />Mr. Porter suggested the committee consider purchasing jackets for the rink attendants to <br />use while on duty. This would help in identifYing the rink attendant amongst the <br />residents using the rink. <br /> <br />The committee requested Ms. Lien order jackets for the Parks and Recreation Committee <br />along with the fullowing motion: <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Porter, seconded by Mr. Peterson to approve funding for four (4) <br />rink attendant jackets bearing the City Logo, also to incJude "Parks & Roc."; with <br />an amollnt not to exceed $250.00. AU in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Familv Skate Nirdlt <br />After brief discussion, the committee elected to provide hot chocolate, juice and popcorn <br />at the Family Skate Nights, which were determined to be held on the following dates: <br /> <br />Sunday, January 14, 2001 <br />Saturday, January 27,2001 <br />Sunday, February 11, 2001 <br />Sunday, February 25, 2001 <br /> <br />4:00 - 6:00 p.rn. <br />4:00 - 6:00 p.rn. <br />4:00 - 6:00 p.rn. <br />4:00 - 6:00 p.rn. <br /> <br />The committee requested Ms. Lien to put the above information on the cable access <br />channel. <br /> <br />Letter from Mavor Swedberg <br />Ms. Lien explained a letter submitted by Mayor Swedberg requesting a "Council <br />Workshop with Committees." Specifically, the entire council will be attending all of the <br />committee meetings in the month of February to discuss the goals, objectives and <br />communications of each committee. <br /> <br />Activities Director <br />Brief discussion among the committee entailed related to the possibility ofhiring an <br />Activities Director. No decisions were made at this time. <br /> <br />Electricity at Laurie LaMotte Park <br />Ms. DeVine had requested this be added to the agenda due to the fact that she was <br />preparing to approach the council on behalf of the Parks and Recreation Committee to <br />request the City's :financial assistance in rnnning electricity at LaMotte Park. The Parks <br />and Recreation COIilmittee is looking for electricity at LaMotte Park for the following <br />purposes: lighting ofban fields, soccer fields, score board, pleasure rink, proposed <br />concession stand, Fete des Lacs activities, etc. Ms. DeVine will submit the request to <br />council at the next meeting. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />L <br />
