I have heard that
Hugo is having lots of problems with snowmobile complaints. Several riders have stopped
in to City Hall to pick up a copy of our ordinance. I spoke to Doug Koppy (Rice Creek Trail
Association) yesterday. He indicated that they would like to have another meeting at City
Hall during mid-January to further educate riders.

* Aimee Fairbrother has been appointed to the Economic Development Committee. There
is still one vacancy on the committee yet to be filled.

* A call was received at City Hall yesterday inquiring about having a new traffic study
completed on Main Street. The caller indicated that they were looking to site a fast food
restaurant. They are going to contact Anoka County in regards to having them perform a
study.

* The unusual heavy snowfall has not created too many problems in regards to
snowplowing. However, due to the large snow amounts in the yards water utility bills will
be estimated for the fourth quarter. This has been done twice before in heavy snowfall
seasons.

* The Centerville Lions will be sponsoring a youth and adult ice fishing contest on
Centerville lake on February 10th. The event will be held from 12:00 to 3:00. Food will be
served. Registration will only be five dollars and many prizes will be awarded. Watch for
posters to come out in the next week.

. The Centerville Council transition is well underway. The new Council is planning a
workshop prior to the first meeting on January 10th. The new Council will be discussing
goals for the next year and Council's method of operation and organization. The Council

12/29/00
