<br />May 9,2001 Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Nelson, seconded by Council Member Capra to <br />approve Consent Al!enda Items 1 and 2 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimouslv. <br /> <br />XI. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers reported that the Parks and Recreation Committee <br />would be holding a public meeting concerning the Wheels Park next Wednesday. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers reported there would be a public hearing to discuss <br />the proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan at the next Plllnning and Zoning <br />Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson requested that the financial reports reflect the appropriate CD <br />renewal dates. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg reported that the Police Commission had interviewed eleven (11) <br />candidates fur the available position. <br /> <br />Council Member Travis reported that the Business Appreciation Dinner was scheduled <br />for Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at 5:00 p.m. Council Member Broussard Vickers noted that <br />there would be a presentation of a water feasibility study and discussion of downtown <br />streetscaping would immediately follow the dinner. <br /> <br />XII. ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg reviewed the memorandum submitted by Mr. March. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg stated that Mr. March requested that Council Members interested in <br />attending the LMC Conference in Duluth contact City Hall by 10:00 a.m. of Friday, May <br />11. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg stated that Mr. March would be meeting with On-Sync Corporation and <br />he would be notifYing members to ascertain their interest in attending same. On-Sync <br />Corporation is a document imaging software vendor. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg stated that the final version of the Turcotte purchasing agreement was <br />anticipated the following week. <br /> <br />Page 8 of9 <br />
