All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />Ground Development - Pheasant Marsh PUD <br /> <br />This item was heard earlier in the meeting. <br /> <br />Appraisals - Turcotte Pro\:lertv <br /> <br />Mr. March submitted an appraisal of the Turcotte property for Council review. <br /> <br />Council Member Sweeney stated that the Parks & Recreation Committee was interested <br />in adding a portion of the property located on the same block to Laurie LaMotte <br />Memorial Park. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber stated that the Turcotte property would be an intricate parcel if the City <br />intended on redeveloping the block. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers stated she felt that the value ofthe property would <br />steadily increase and the City would benefit from purchasing same. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Sweeney seconded bv Council Member Travis to <br />authorize staff to enter into negotiations to purchase the Turcotte -property. All iu <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Notice of Sub-Standard Building - 7121 Centerville Road <br /> <br />Mr. March presented pictures of the property located at 7121 Centerville Road. Mr. <br />March noted there were two (2) additional properties within the City that Staff is in the <br />process of citing for similar violations. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers inquired as to how the process for handling similar <br />situations may be completed more effectively and. City Attorney Hoeft indicated the <br />property needs to be declared a sub-standard property for each violation and can not be <br />determined to be a constant problem. This means the City needs to initiate the process <br />each time the problem occurs and would not be allowed to contract for services to <br />continually keep the property up to required standards. <br /> <br />Subsequent to lengthy discussion, consensus was that Staff be directed to investigate all <br />possible ordinance violation complaints, including verbal and anonymous complaints. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Sweeney. seconded bv Council Member Travis to direct <br />Staff to investi!!:ate written. verbal and anonymous complaints concernin!!: possible <br />ordinance violations.
