<br />Council Member Sweeney indicated the YMCA had talked to the Parks and <br />Recreation Committee about having outdoor programs in Lamotte Park as part of <br />their community agenda. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber state he had spoken with the Mayor from Hugo who brought up <br />transportation to the YMCA and Mayor Wilharber agreed that a regular bus route <br />through the City should be established. <br /> <br />Storm Sewer Realignment - Lloyd Drilling (! 873 Main Street) <br /> <br />Mr. March presented information to Council on a request from Lloyd Drilling for <br />permission to realign the storm sewer that exists at the property across the street <br />from City Hall. He said the current storm sewer runs between the existing vacant <br />commercial lot and the existing home at 1873 Main Street. <br /> <br />Mr. March indicated a permit was not required from the Rice Creek Watershed <br />District and he recommended the request be approved. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Nelson. seconded bv Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to Approve the ReQuest to Reali!!n the Storm Sewer at 1873 Main <br />Street. <br /> <br />Council Member Sweeney questioned the City Engineer if the drainage plan was <br />acceptable to the City and followed City plans. <br /> <br />Mr. March questioned the City Engineer if it was possihle to divert the storm <br />sewer through the detention pond behind City Hall in oraer to treat me water. tie <br />said he was wondering if there would be any benefit to directing the storm water <br />into the pond. <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer indicated the Rice Creek Watershed requires permits for 2.5 acres and <br />more. Mr. Peterson stated he would have to look into elevations and the amount <br />of water that currently flows into the pond before making a recommendation. <br /> <br />The previous motion and second withdrawn. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Nelson. seconded bv Council Member Sweenev <br />to table the reauest of L10vd Drilline to reall!!n the storm sewer at 1873 Main <br />Street until City En!!ineer Peterson can review and make a recommendation <br />to Council on whether the sewer can be diverted into the detention pond <br />behind Citv Hall.
