<br />CONDIDERA nON OF MINUTES <br /> <br />August 7. 2000 Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. LeBlanc, seconded by Mr. Peterson to approve the August 7, 2000 <br />Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes with noted changes. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Goals <br />The Committee briefly discussed the status each member's individual goals as tollows: <br /> <br />Ms. DeVine: <br />Landscaping around park signs <br />Playground equipment - Royal Meadows Park <br /> <br />Complete <br />Complete <br /> <br />Mr. LeBlanc <br />Lighting (Laurie LaMotte Park) <br />Trail (Laurie LaMotte Park) <br />General Lighting <br /> <br />Complete <br />Complete <br />Not Feasible (see below) <br /> <br />Mr. Porter <br />BencheslPicnic Tables <br />Trash Receptacles <br />Trees <br /> <br />Complete <br />Complete <br />Next Year (see below) <br /> <br />Mr. Navin <br />Turf(assumed by Mr. Peterson) <br />Curb/Gutter (assumed by Mr. Porter) <br /> <br />90% Complete (see below) <br />Untouched (see below) <br /> <br />Discussion pursued related to the goals listed above as follows: <br /> <br />Turf' <br />Mr. Porter explained he had contacted Mr. Navin regarding his goal of turf and <br />curb/gutter. Specifically, the turf at Laurie LaMotte Park is in great condition. The <br />committee discussed the possibility of aerating the soil. Mr. Peterson commented on the <br />need to rent a Massy Ferguson to do so. Mr. Peterson will assume the "turf' goal, and <br />check into renting the proper equipment and report back at the October meeting. <br /> <br />Curb/Gutter (Laurie LaMotte Park): <br />At this point nothing has been accomplished as far as the curb and gutter at Laurie <br />LaMotte Park. Mr. Sweeney commented that this has been a topic of conversation at the <br /> <br />3 <br />
