The permit owner shall be responsible for all of the requJrements of this Ordinance, <br />including the liablllty for expense of removal and maintenance incurred by the Cit)'. <br /> <br />AA. Multi-Occupaocy Business and Industrial Buildings: When a single principle <br />building is devoced to three (3) or more businesses, or industrial uses, a comprehensive <br />sign plan for me entire stnlcture shall be submitted and shall be of sufficiel1l scope and <br />detail to permit a detennination as to whetlJer or oot the plan is consistent with the <br />following regulations. The plan shall be subject to the approval of the City Council No <br />permit shall be issued for an individual use except upon a determination that it is <br />consistent with the approved comprehensive siJln plan. <br /> <br />1. The maximum individual sign sizes for multiple occupancy strUCtures and <br />individual uses which may display signs shall not exceed the maximum <br />provisions for single occupatu:y structures in the same tOning district. <br /> <br />2. Multiple occupancy structures may display an area identification sign <br />consistent with the applicable district provisions. Individual frees18ndingsigns <br />identifying the tenants' business shall not be displayed. Twemy Flve Percent <br />(25%) of me area identification sign must identify the entire site, the <br />balance of the sign may be used for individual tenant Identification. <br /> <br />9. Except as pr~':!ded in \l1Js ordinance, individllaJ tenants of multiple <br />occupancy strUctures shall not display separate wall signs unless the tenants' <br />business has an exclusive exterior entrance. 'fhe number of signs shall biimited <br />to one (l) per entrance, and each sign shall be limited to the maximum wall size <br />sign permitted in the district, the total of which shall not exceed the square <br />footage allowed. The siJltls shall be located only olExterior walls which are <br />directly related to the use being identified. <br /> <br />4. In any multiple occupancy structure qualitying as a mall type shoppinjJ:enter, <br />directory signs shall be permitted ror each common public enrran::e. Each <br />directory sign area shall oot exceed a total of fifty (50) square feet and shall be <br />located within fifty (50) feet of the common pUblic enttaoce being served. The <br />size of individual business identification signing within thedirectory shall be <br />established during the site plan review process. Attention shal! be given to the <br />possible number of tenant or occupancy bays which may be serveQ by the <br />common publiC entrance tor which the directory Sign is intended. <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />L_ _. <br />
