Senator Jane Krentz has called and said she will not be able to attend our Council
meeting due to conflicts next week.

· I received a call from Lampert Architects who are working for a company called First
Class Concrete. First Class Concrete wants to build an approximate 18,000 sq. ft. spec.
office/warehouse building north of R+R Leasing Inc. They plan to build a decorative block
building. They will be signing a listing agreement with Integrated Real Estate to find a
tenant for the building. They would like to begin construction in the spring.

. Automotive Driveline has plans to expand their current building. I have informed them
that they would be required to stripe their building or do something to make the building
conform to the ordinance requirement which states that buildings must have contrasting
features. They have indicated that they would be willing to comply with the ordinance.

. I spoke to Keith Ebensteiner (Royal Oaks Realty) yesterday. They plan to begin
construction on one of their spec. Industrial buildings this spring. Royal Oaks Realty has
not been able to reach agreement with Carpenter Auto Body for the sliver of land that is
owned by Carpenter on the east side of 20th Avenue. They claim to have offered
substantially more than the fair market value for the Carpenter property and are asking the
City to consider proceeding with condemnation procedures.

. Amacomp I nc. accepted the City's offer for the purchase of the laptop computer.

. The realtor representing Socrates Babacus stopped in City Hall today. He really did not
have any new information to share. He does appear anxious to earn a commission. He did
not say that any plans were being developed at this time. He did say that he would like to
see Rehbein receive payment for the land so that he does not continue to work for free.

. Have a good weekend!

1/21/00
