<br />3 Amended: 9/4/01 <br />2 Amended: 6/27/0J <br />I Amended: 1/1 O/OJ <br />Etiective 915100 <br />City of Centerville Ord. #4 <br />Zoning District - An area or areas for which the regulations and requirements <br />governing use, lot and bulk of buildings and premises are uniform. <br /> <br />Section 015-030: General Regulations. <br /> <br />For clarity and consistency in the understanding and application of this Ordinance <br />the following sliall apply: <br /> <br />Use of the masculine gender includes the feminine and neuter genders unless <br />otherwise specifically noted. <br /> <br />Grammatical use of references made in the singular shall include the plural and <br />the plural shall include the singular, unless such use or reference is otherwise <br />specifically stated. <br /> <br />Sentence construction or phraseology in the present tense, and similarly, <br />references in the future tense may include the present. <br /> <br />The word "shall" is used to mean mandatory, whereas the word "may" is <br />permissive and does not imply obligation. <br /> <br />The catchlines of the sections of this Ordinance are intended as mere catctlwords <br />to indicate the content of tile section, and shall not be deemed or taken to be titles <br />of such sections, nor be deemed to govern, limit, modify or in any manner affect <br />the scope, meaning or intent of the provisions of any sections. <br /> <br />Division 20: Scope and InterRretatkm <br /> <br />A. Scope <br /> <br />No structure, or part, thereof, shall be erected, convertecl, <br />enlarged, reconstructed, altered or moved without a permit <br />approved by the City. No structure or land shall be used for <br />ani' purpose or altered in any manner that is not in conformity <br />with the provisions of this Ordinance. Unless otherwise <br />noted, no structure permitted under this Ordinance may be <br />inhabited or occupied without a Celiificate of Occupancy <br />issued by the City. <br /> <br />8.
