Height of Building - The vertical distance from the average elevation of the finished grade at the front of the building to the highest point of the roof for flat roofs; to the deck line of mansard roofs; and to the mean height between eaves and ridge for gable, hip and gambrel roofs. Home Occupation - An occupation, profession, activity, or use that is clearly a customary, incidental, and secondary use of a residential dwelling unit and which does not alter the exterior of the property or affect the residential character of the neighborhood. Hotel - A building occupied as more or less temporary abiding place of individuals who are lodged with or without meals for compensation and in which there are more than ten (10) sleeping rooms usually occupied singly, and in which no provision is made for cooking in any individual apartment. Impervious Surface - Any material that substantially reduces or prevents the infiltration of storm water into previously undeveloped land.
