Coniferous Trees: Six (6) feet in height planting size, balled <br />and burlapped. <br /> <br />B. Foundation Plantings: Coniferous and deciduous shrubs shall be planted at a <br />minimum of one-third the mature spread and heightof typical growth habits. <br /> <br />C. Boulevard Trees: All boulevard trees shall be hardwood shade trees or flowering <br />trees. <br /> <br />D. Overstory Mix: When multiple quantities of overstory trees are required, at least <br />seventy-five percent (75%) of the trees required shall be deciduous trees. <br /> <br />E. Hardiness: All landscape materials proposed shall be consistent with Minnesota <br />Hardiness Zones, whether indigenous or foreign. Plant species must all be tolerant <br />to snow storage, exposure to salt and sun scald in parking areas. <br /> <br />F. Diversification: In any development in which at least eight (8) overstory trees or <br />foundation plantings are required, at least three (3) varieties of boulevard trees are <br />required on each side of the block. <br /> <br />G. Warranty: All required landscape materials shall be warranted for growth for a <br />minimum of two (2) years after planting. <br /> <br />Division 165: Off-Street Parking <br /> <br />When a building is enlarged, additional off-street parking shall be required only with respect to the <br />additional usable floor area. Parking spaces may be located on a lot other than that containing the <br />principal use with the approval of the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 165-010: Change in Facilities. An off-street parking area shall not be changed to any other <br />use until equal facilities are provided elsewhere. No parking area used or designated in connection with a <br />building in existence on the effective date of this ordinance shall be reduced to provide fewer than the <br />minimum number of parking spaces required under this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 165-020: Off-Street Parking and Loading Zones. No building shall be hereafter erected, <br />substantially altered, or its use changed unless off-street parking and loading spaces have been provided <br />in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. The number of off-street parking spaces provided <br />-hall be at least the minimum number provided in the schedule contained in this Section. <br /> <br />Section 165-030: Off-Street Loading. A loading space shall have minimum dimensions of not less <br />than twelve (12) feet in width, fifty (50) feet in length, exclusive of driveways, aisles, and other circulation <br /> <br />Page 50 of 69 <br />
