<br />. <br /> <br />Subd. 10. Alteration. Structural. Any change in the supporting members of a building or <br />structure, such as bearing walls, columns, beans, or girders; provided, however, the <br />application of any exterior siding to an existing building for the purpose of beautifying and <br />modernizing shall not be considered a structural alteration. <br /> <br />Subd. 11. Antenna. Any system of wires, poles, rods, reflecting discs, satellite dishes, or <br />similar devises used for the transmission or reception of electromagnetic waves external to or <br />attached to the exterior of any building. <br /> <br />Subd. 12. Apartment. A room or suite of rooms, including bath and kitchen facilities, in a <br />multiple-family building designed for occupancy by a single family. <br /> <br />Subd. 13. Apartment. Accessorv. An apartment that is secondary and incidental to a <br />principal use or building. <br /> <br />Subd. 14. Apartment Building. A multiple dwelling designed to accommodate two or <br />more apartments. <br /> <br />Subd. 15. Area Identification Sign. A freestanding sign which identifies the name of a <br />residential subdivision, commercial or industrial development. See Subd. 72, Freestanding <br />fugn, <br /> <br />Subd. 16. Auto Repair. Rebuilding, reconditioning, reconstructing, repairing or replacing <br />worn or damaged motor vehicle parts. <br /> <br />Subd. 17. Automobile Service Station. Premises used to dispense, sell or install <br />automobile fuel, oil, tires, batteries or accessories or to wash automobiles. <br /> <br />Subd. 18. Balcony. A platform projecting from a wall of a building, enclosed by a railing, <br />and elevated at least seven (7) feet above ground. <br /> <br />Subd. 19. Basement. A portion of a building located partly or completely underground, <br />having more than 50% of its floor-to-ceiling height below the average grade of the adjoining <br />ground. Split level, split entry, and earth sheltered homes shall be construed to satisfy <br />basement requirements. <br /> <br />Subd. 20. Block. A tract of land bounded by streets or a combination of streets, parks, <br />cemeteries, railroad rights-of-way, shorelines, waterways, or corporate boundary lines of the <br />City. <br /> <br />Subd.21. Board. The Board of Appeals and Adjustments for the City ofCenterviIIe. <br /> <br />Subd. 22. Boathouse. A structure designed and used solely for the storage of boats or <br />boating equipment. <br /> <br />Subd.23. Boulevard. That part of the public right-of-way located between the curb line <br />and the property line. <br />
