My husband and I are fairly new residents of <br />Centerville. We moved into 1850 Houle Circle in late September. Every experience we <br />have had in dealing with those who work at City Hall has been wonderful. 1 am writing <br />today in regard to the offer for residents to have a chance to serve on a commission. I feel <br />it is a great idea to be involved in the area where I live. The commission I am most <br />interested in is the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />The foremost reason for why I am interested in serving on this particular committee is to <br />have the chance to be part of the present and future changes in the city of Centerville. I <br />would like to understand more about how the decision-making process works in <br />municipalities. I am very proud to be a citizen of Centerville. I realize that there is a <br />huge potential for growth in this area and I would be happy to have a part in the decisions <br />and goals made for Centerville. <br /> <br />Another reason why I would like to become involved in this committee is for my own <br />personal growth and development. I will be starting a Master's degree in public <br />administration this summer with the goal of becoming a city administrator. I would be <br />honored to have the chance to begin my career in the very city in which I live. <br /> <br />Although I would prefer to serve on the EDC commission 1 am also open to the other <br />commissions. I would be happy to have a part in any of the important roles each of these <br />commissions play in our growing city. <br /> <br />Thank you for your time in reading this letter.
