<br />t <br /> <br />City of Centervi{{e <br /> <br />1694 Sore{ Street, Centeroiffe, 9vf:J{55038 (612) 429-3232 <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 17-A <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE USE AND OPERATION OF SNOWMOBILES IN <br />THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 17 RELATING <br />TO THE SAME SUBJECT. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville ordains: <br /> <br />Sect. ion 1. <br /> <br />Intent: <br /> <br />It is the intent of this ordinance to supplement Minnesota <br />Statues, Sections 84.81 through 84.88, as amended, and Minnesota <br />Statues Chapter 169, with respect to the operation of <br />snowmobiles. Such statues are incorporated herein by reference. <br />This section is not intended to allow what the state statues <br />prohibit, nor to prohibit what the state statues allow. <br /> <br />S~ction 2. <br /> <br />Definitions: <br /> <br />a. For purposes of this Ordinance, terms defined herein <br />shall have the meaning ascribed to them. <br /> <br />b. "Person" includes an individual, part.nership, <br />corporation, the state and its agencies and subdivision, and any <br />body of persons, whether incorporated or not. <br /> <br />c. "Snowmobile" means a self propelled vehicle designed <br />for travel on snow or ice, steered by skis or runners. <br /> <br />d. "Owner" means a person, <br />having the property in or title to a <br />the use or possession thereof. <br /> <br />other than a lien holder <br />snowmobile, or entitled to <br /> <br />8. "Operate" means to ride in or 03:1, and cont,rol the <br />operation of a snowmobile. <br /> <br />f. "Operator" means eVel')! person Hho oper.5I.tes, or is in <br />actual physical control of a snowmobile. <br /> <br />g. "Roadway" means that portio:n of a highway or street <br />improved~ designed or ordinarily used for vehicular travel. <br /> <br />h.
