intersections. This would not only allow residents the option to cross at closer points along CR
14, but also maintain a safer, more controlled traffic flow, while eliminating any discrepancies
that local businesses may have, regarding the proposed median.
In short, this whole design is backwards. If the county really cared about the safety of the
residents, their families and effected businesses, speed limit test and contingence plans would
have been done prior to the design and development of CR 14, but because it wasn't the county
has to come up with a plan and push it through the system quickly. So forget about safety, we
can deal with it as it happens. Instead, lets focus on how to accommodate the newly built and
potential, future town homes in these developing areas. Well sorry, but that's the wrong
approach and the county needs to reconsider their proposed plan and/or design.
lfthe county is projecting a 20 to 30 year development plan, why not solve the safety issues
first (the exit ramps, the residential roads and weights, the speed limit and the proposed median)
before focusing on CR 14 and the traffic congestion and/or flow? Its just like all the smarter and
wiser people said to me or before me, "Safety First, always Safety First."
Sincerely, a disappointed resident and community member,
Jeff Grue
