<br />. . <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & City Council Members <br />FROM: Kim Stephan t21 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Parks & Recreation Committee Recommendation <br /> <br />DATE: January 7, 2005 <br /> <br />Chairperson Peterson requested the Parks & Recreation Committee consider using some of the funds <br />previously allocated for the Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park warming house renovation to add <br />additional lighting to the pleasure skating rink area. The lighting for the pleasure rink is substandard <br />and it is felt to be a safety hazard. Chairperson Peterson will obtain estimates and would like to <br />proceed with the installation as soon as possible to allow the lights to be utilized yet this skating <br />season. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Chairperson Peterson, seconded by Vice-Chairperson LeBlanc to <br />recommend to City Council the expenditure not to exceed $3,000 for the installation of additional <br />lighting at the Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park pleasure skating rink. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
