No.: 616-03-135 . <br /> <br />Dear Joe: <br /> <br />On behalf of the City of Centerville, I am respectfully submitting the fourth quarterly report for <br />the Heritage Street Lakeside Infiltration Trench and Shoreline Stabilization grant project. <br /> <br />Activities <br />The following bulleted list summarizes a few key activities through December 30, 2004 for the <br />project: <br />. Native plant restoration completed. Upland seeding in place for infiltration area and <br />overland swale. Native shrub species coordinated with property owners and planted at <br />the project site. <br />. The first grit chamber monitoring event occurred November 2nd, 2004. The grit chamber <br />device was cleaned out and sediment samples were taken and analyzed by a soil <br />laboratory. The results showed that over one-half of a cubic yard of grit was sequestered <br />by the device and removed during the monitoring event <br />. Work was slated to occur approximately in November to complete the shoreline <br />demonstration improvement. DifficUlties occurred in arranging for ddivery of the soil <br />stockpile needed to undertake the shoreline improvement. The shoreline bioengineering <br />is now scheduled for late winter. <br /> <br />Costs <br />The monitoring and evaluation component has incurred $1,873 costs to-date from the $4,500 <br />allocated by the MetroEnvironment grant. A summary statement of the costs is attached with <br />this quarterly report. Please note that Bonestroo has not invoiced the City of Centerville for <br />these costs. We respectfully request direct reimbursement from the Metropolitan Council for the' <br />cOsts ip.curred under the monitoring and evaluation component.. . <br /> <br />Please let me know if the Metropolitan Council prefers that we invoice the City directly for our <br />costs and then request that the Metropolitan Council disburse the grant funds to the City. <br /> <br />.
