<br />!-35E Corridor AUAR <br />What is an AUAR and why is the <br /> <br />City of Lino Lakes preparing one? <br /> <br />1. The State of Minnesota through its Environmental <br />Quality Board (EQB) has adopted rules and procedures <br />covering environmental review for certain types of <br />projects within the State. <br /> <br />2. The program identifies two levels of review. The first is <br />a more limited review and that is called an <br />Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EA W). The <br />latter is a more comprehensive and detailed review and <br />that is an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). <br /> <br />{-35E Corridor AUAR <br />What is an AUAR and why is the <br /> <br />City of Lino Lakes preparing one? <br /> <br />3. The Alternative Urban Area-wide Review (AUAR) is <br />an alternative form of environmental review that may <br />be substituted for EISs in some instances. <br /> <br />4. The determination of when a given level of <br />environmental review is required is based on size <br />criteria contained in Minnesota Rules. These rules list <br />project size thresholds that indicate when an EA W or <br />EIS is mandatory. <br /> <br />2 <br />
