Include details on <br />other phase(s) on page 3, in B.2. <br />Limit 20 Jines <br />The redevelopment of "East Block 7" is a single phase project to serve as a model for the redevelopment <br />of the remainder of the downtown. The "East Block 7" project involves the construction ofa 32,000 <br />square foot building to house 16,000 square feet of retail space and 16,000 square feet of family housing <br />(11 units includes affordable units) on a blight underutilized site in the downtown. The goals of this <br />project are to: <br /> <br />~ Redevelop several vacant and underutilized buildings in downtown Centerville into retail and <br />second story high-density housing in order to introduce a new and different retail and affordable <br />housing into the market area. <br /> <br />~ Develop affordable family housing in Centerville. <br /> <br />~ Provide infrastructure to support the development of the site and link to community resources. <br /> <br />~ Create a streetscape and architectural style as part of this redevelopment for this site that will be <br />environmentally and pedestrian friendly and form a guide for the redevelopment of the entire <br />downtown. <br /> <br /> <br />~ Remove the existing vacant and marginal buildings, reconfigure and concentrate them into a <br />"critical mass" to ensure the synergy required to keep the area viable and vital. <br /> <br />.54 <br />
