<br />Citv ofCentervil1e <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />Fcbnmry 23, 2005 <br /> <br />4, AnQl<:a Countv CSA,H 14 Proiect -,Memorandum,ofUnderstamIing <br />a, Northern Forest Products <br /> <br />Council discussed the Memorandum of Understanding and agreed that there are too many <br />issues with the Plan for Council to agree to sign it. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked ML Peterson to contact White Bear Township to obtain plan <br />information for 96 at Centerville Road, <br /> <br />Council discussed the issue with truck traffic entering Northern Forest Products and <br />Mayor Capra indicated that Northern Forest Products is working on a DVD and is <br />interviewing thosc affected by the plan for CSAH 14 including residential and <br />commercial and has asked if anyone from the City would like to participate in the <br />documentary. <br /> <br />Council outlined the changes they would like to see to the Plan and Council Member Lee <br />agreed to work on an amendment to the Plan for review. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked Staff to put rezone to Ml on the Planning Commission's next <br />Agenda for consideration <br /> <br />Mayor Capra noted that the flashing lights at the school are not working and asked that <br />Staff look into fixing them as soon as possible <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br />1. 1601 LaMotte Drive - St Paul Water Utilities <br /> <br />Mayor Capra provided Council with an update of her negotiations with ML Tschida <br />concerning the purchase price for 1601 LaMotte Drive She then eXplained that one of <br />the requirements for the DNR matching grant that the City is applying for to assist with <br />the purchase of this park property is that the City obtain a parkland appraisal for the <br />property. She then asked for Council authorization to do so in an amount not to exceed <br />$3,000 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee. seconded by Council Member Lakso to authorize <br />Staff to obtain a parkland appraisal in an amount not to exceed $3.000 with the <br />funds bein!! expended from Park Dedication Funds. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that Mr. Tschida has asked for the maximum amount that the City <br />is willing to pay for the property and has offered to finance the property over three years <br />at 6% interest if the City is interested. She then said that the parkland appraisal should <br />assist the City with setting its purchase price. <br /> <br />Page 5 of6 <br />
