Page I of2

Teresa Bender

From: Paul Palzer [ppalzer@centervillemn.com)
Sent: Wednesday, February 23, 2005 11 :30 AM
To: Teresa Bender
Subject: Fw: Centerville Water Tower

- Original Message -
From: Grinstead. His best guess for occupancy
for the two northernmost buildings was after June of 2005. Assuming that the painter starts painting as soon as
weather permits, then the painting should be done prior to occupancy. If this is nolthe case, and the buildings will
be occupied before June of 2005, then we may need to rethink the containment situations, but based on our last
conversations with Paul Keleher, they will not be occupied during the tank painting.

Tim

From: Paul Palzer [mailto:ppalzer@centervillemn.com]
Sent: Wednesday, February 23, 2005 11:00 AM
To: Grinstead, lim L
Cc: Peterson, Tom W
Subject: Re: Centerville Water Tower

Morning lim-

The third building going up is the one directly south of the tower and closest to the property line. They are
framing in the rooftoday and may have siding on the building in the next 30 days. If this is not a problem for
Maguire then I don't see any issues other then the city's buildings and equipment. Paul

- Original Message -
From: Grinstead. We also were informed by the developer that it will not be
occupied until after the painting. If you look on the plan sheets, the one we were originally concerned with was
the building proposed directly south of the tower. This one won't be buill before we are done. Maguire will be
extra careful not to allow any drift, and KLM will be monitoring it. They will be monitoring the winds and paint
accordingly.

If you and the council are not comfortable with the large deduct in price, you don't have to approve the change
order? let me know if you need anything else.

2/23/2005
