My name is LeAnne Karras, and I am the Loan <br />Program Manager at the Neighborhood Energy Consortium. The NEe is a <br />nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to residenti<ll. and <br />transportation energy efficiency. <br /> <br />For twenty years we've led the way with energy efficiency initiatives in <br />the Twin Cities, and niore recently our reach has grown statewide. The <br />NECprovides residential energy audits to MN homeowners, educates <br />consumer about energy efficient appliances and provides customer Peak <br />Performance Homes testing. We've recently expanded oui' services to <br />include helping homeowners finance home energy improvements. <br /> <br />I'd like to share with you an opportunity of which you may not be aware. <br />Ji'unds are available for low-to-moderate homeowners in your cities to <br />implement a w.ide range of home improvements. These funds. are <br />avaiIable.thru the Home Fix-Up Fund. This pr(lgramis funded my <br />NIFHA and is implemented by tIleNeighborhood Energy Consortium <br />mid is an excellent way to put resource in the hands of those who need <br />it, while improving housing stock in you community. . <br /> <br />This resOurce could be very valuable to you cities homeowners. I'd be <br />interest in discussing ways that we could work together to put your <br />homeowners in touch with resources that can save them money and <br />. improve their homes. <br /> <br />I've enclosed a sheet detailing the above program requirements.
