<br />City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minotes <br />June 8, 2005 <br /> <br />4. CSAH 14IMain Street Project/County Response to Draft MOU <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that the County made a presentation at the last <br />meeting and most of what was suggested was not acceptable but they did leave the door <br />open for further negotiations. He then said that they are prepared to commit to the four <br />way stop until they agree to a stoplight. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked if the County can just take the proposed property for the pond. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that the County can take the property but would have to <br />pay for it. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked Staff to follow through with the County on this. <br /> <br />Council Member Terway agreed that time is of the essence but said he would like a <br />complete understanding of what will happen before this proceeds. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson asked for a motion to direct Staff to move forward with <br />negotiations. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Terway to direct Staff to <br />enter into negotiations with the County on the MOU. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />5. Correspondence to Share <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated she received a letter from Senator Norm Coleman regarding <br />Homeland Security Department for 2005 for safer firefighters. A letter from CenterPoint <br />Energy regarding the gas lines to be fixed, and a letter from the League of Minnesota <br />Cities concerning the regional meeting in Cokato. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated she received a card from Senator Reiter thanking the City for its <br />leadership in the planning for a new police facility. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that Mr. Runkle from Ground Development and their <br />attorney Ms. Marty were at the meeting and asked to speak to him. He then indicated <br />that they are interested in moving forward with the third phase of Pheasant Marsh and <br />have provided him some language they would like the City to consider adding to the <br />developer's agreement which he will review and provide comment on. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar asked for an update on the drainage situation with Anoka County. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson indicated he spoke to the County Engineer and he is going out to look at it <br />tomorrow. <br /> <br />Page 70f8 <br /> <br />7 <br />
