Game pieces will represent housing, <br />commercial and industrial uses, civic and <br />community facilities (parks and civic buildings), <br />parks and open spaces, as well as trails and <br />sidewalks. Additional categories can be added if <br />needed. <br /> <br />Involvement in this workshop should be broad <br />based and inclusive. It is important to extend the <br />invitation to the broader community, including <br />young people and families who may not typically <br />participate in such events. The planning game can <br />be played simultaneously by between 60 to 80 <br />participants in small groups of up to 10 people, <br />which will each be led by a facilitator. <br /> <br /> <br />Using planning games gets the public involved <br />and working together to set the direction for <br />their community's future. <br /> <br />Workshop participants can be recruited through <br />social and civic networks, including youth groups, <br />service clubs, and religious congregations. We <br />recommend designing the planning game and other <br />materials to be accessible to older kids and teens by <br />using imagery and interactive materials. <br /> <br />SRF End Products <br />. Based on this information, we will prepare <br />two alternatives to simplifY the possibilities and <br />facilitate a discussion of future visions for <br />Downtown Centerville. <br /> <br />In addition, we will prepare a one-sheet summary <br />and accompanying graphics to illustrate the two <br />synthesized alternatives. <br /> <br />SRF End Products <br />.
