<br />UTILITIES: <br /> <br />The parties agree that the Exhibit "A" Layout does include specific proposed utility locations. The City will <br />be responsible for the design of any sanitary sewer and water main improvements, which will be incorporated <br />in the project bid documents. The cost ofthe design and construction of these features will be the <br />responsibility of the City. The City's design of the sanitary sewer and water main utilities are to include <br />plans, specifications, and estimated quantities and cost. All construction documents must be submitted to the <br />County by July J, 2005. <br /> <br />PERMITS: <br /> <br />The parties agree that the County will secure all necessary permits for this Project. The City agrees to <br />coordinate with the County in securing the permits required by the Rice Creek Watershed District. The City <br />also agrees to secure any permits required for improvements proposed by the City including utilities, and <br />streetscape items. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Upon acceptance and signatures by the parties of this MOU, a separate joint powers agreement for cost share <br />and maintenance will be prepared by the County for execution by the City and the County prior to acceptance <br />of bids for this project. The joint powers agreement to follow will formalize all estimated and actual cost <br />shares. <br /> <br />In the interim, the attached Exhibit "C" provides an estimate ofth,!!construction cost share ofthe Project and <br />Exhibit "0" outlines County policy for cost splits on construction projects. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br />H\Highway 14 Projecl\Centerville02-614-24MOU,doc <br />
