<br />.'. <br /> <br />City of Centerville Ord #24 <br />Effective: 10/27/99 <br /> <br />(whether or not descented), raccoon, or squirrel, but excluding those <br />members otherwise defined or commonly accepted as domesticated pets. <br /> <br />(5) Any poisonous, venomous, constricting, or inherently dangerous member <br />of the reptile or amphibian families including rattlesnakes, boa constrictors, <br />pit vipers, crocodiles and alligators. <br /> <br />(6) Any other animal which is not explicitly listed above but which can be <br />reasonably defined by the terms of this subpart, including but not limited to <br />bears, deer, monkeys and game fish. <br /> <br />C. Farm. "Farm animals" shall mean those animals commonly associated witha farm or performing <br />work in an agricultural setting. Unless otherwise defined, such animals shall include members of the <br />equestrian family (horses and mules), bovine family (cows and bulls), sheep, poultry (chickens and <br />turkeys), fowl (ducks and geese), swine (including Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs), goats, bees, and <br />other animals associated with a farm, ranch, or stable. <br /> <br />Subd. 2 Cat. "Cat" shall be intended to mean both the male and female of the felidae species <br />commonly accepted as domesticated household pets. <br /> <br />Subd.3 Dog. "Dog" shall be intended to mean both the male and female of the canine species, <br />commonly accepted as domesticated household pets. <br /> <br />Subd.4 At Large. "At Large" shall be intended to mean off the premises of the owner and not <br />under the custody and control of the owner or other person, ( an individual capable of controlling <br />the animal as needed) either by leash, cord, chain, or otherwise restrained or confmed. <br /> <br />Subd. 5 Dangerous Animal. A Dangerous Animal shall be defined as any animal, which meets <br />the definition of dangerous dog set forth in Minnesota Statute Section 347.50, and or any <br />successor Statute. <br /> <br />Subd. 6 Potentially Dangerous. A Potentially Dangerous shall mean any animal, which meets <br />the definition of potentially dangerous dog set forth in Minnesota Statue Section 347.50, and or <br />any successor statute. <br /> <br />Subd. 7 Enclosure. Any structure, except a dwelling, designed to securely enclose and prevent <br />an animal from escaping there from, and/or designed to provide the animal with shelter and <br />protection from the weather. <br /> <br />Subd. 8 Kennel- Commercial. Any structure or premises on which five (5) or more domestic <br />animals over six (6) months of age are kept, owned, boarded, groomed, sheltered, protected, bred, or <br /> <br />Page 2 of 16 <br />
