<br />Pay Estimate - Parkview Addition <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson indicated the pay estimate is due for $22,872.23 (excludes path) to Hardrives, the <br />contractor that paved the final wear course in Parkview. That item was removed from the <br />contract shortly after they had finished everything else so that Bonine would be done with their <br />work and not be the general in charge ofthat wear. Hardrives came back two or three months <br />later and completed the wear resulting in this current bill. Mayor Wilharber questioned the quality <br />of the paved path. Mr. Peterson commented the path was in poor condition and that it should not <br />be paid for by the City. Mr. Peterson stated he has informed Hardrives about the path, but has <br />not heard back from Hardrives on this issue. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Sweeney. seconded bv Council Member Broussard Vickers to <br />approve the reQnest for a $22.872.23 (excludes path) payment to Hardrives for the <br />Parkview Addition. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />VL SET AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded bv Council Member Nelson to set <br />the al!:enda addinl! PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br /> <br />Mr. March addressed a snowmobile complaint received by City staff. Council Member Sweeney <br />stated he has had complaints about the new firearm ordinance. <br /> <br />VIII. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Laptop Computer <br /> <br />Mr. March gave an overview of a laptop computer the City purchased in 1999 from Amacomp <br />Tnc Mr. March indicated that due to malfunctioning ofthe laptop, it has been returned to <br />Amacomp Inc. Udo Wegmann, Amacomp owner, has tried to replace the laptop, but has run into <br />problems with the manufacturer. Amacomp is proposing the City exchange the laptop by <br />purchasing a laptop he currently owns. Although his laptop is a different model, his proposal <br />subtracts the cost of two components from when he purchased the laptop, and an additional $50 <br />deduction for depreciation for having a used computer versus a new one. Mr. Wegmann was not <br />able to be present at the meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers questioned if there is any other alternative then the pr~posal <br />Amacomp is presenting. Mr. March indicated the option presented was the only alternative <br />offered. Mr. Hoeft advised the Council that any legal action may be a timely process and would <br /> <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />
