<br />City of Centerville <br />County of Anoka <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #5 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #5 TO PROTECT AND <br />PRESERVE THE PUBLIC'S SAFETY BY REGULATING THE <br />DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS AND DANGEROUS WEAPONS WITHIN <br />THE CITY OF CENTERVlLLE <br /> <br />The City of Centerville hereby ordains: <br /> <br />5.01 Definitions. The following definitions shall apply in the interpretation and enforcement of <br />this Ordinance. <br /> <br />A. Rifle. A shoulder weapon with a ritled bored barrel and discharging a single shot or pellet at <br />a time. <br /> <br />B. Shotgun. A shoulder weapon with a ritled bored barrel and discharging more than one pellet <br />at a time. No slugs. <br /> <br />C. Handgun. A hand held weapon with a ritled barrel and discharging a single shot or pellet at a <br />time. <br /> <br />D. Bows and Arrows: For the purpose of this Ordinance to mean all long bows used for target <br />and hunting purposes as regulated and defined by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 97B. <br /> <br />E. Firearms. For the purpose of this Ordinance this shall mean shotguns and pellet weapons, <br />whether C02 or pneumatic powered. <br /> <br />Subd.l. Dangerous Weapons. A Dangerous Weapon means any ftreann, whether loaded or <br />unloaded, or any device designed as a weapon and capable of producing death or great bodily <br />harm, or any other device or instrumentality which in the manner it is used or intended to he used, <br />is calculated or likely to produce death or great bodily harm.
