<br />Council and Staff discussed the proposal and agreed to authorize the services for Items 1, <br />2, 3 and 5 in the proposal. Staff indicated that Council Member Terway had indicated <br /> <br />that he does not feel that Staff needs assistance with reviewing goals. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />the proposal for services from Lynn & Associates for Items 1, 2, 3, and 5. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1.City Administrator, Mr. Dallas Larson <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />2. Downtown Redevelopment Planning <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson provided an overview of the last public information meeting <br />for Council indicating it was not as well attended as the prior meeting but noted that Staff <br />is receiving favorable comments. He then indicated that Staff is interested in seeking <br />proposals from developers after providing information on what the City has in mind for <br />the redevelopment. He also suggested holding a work session with other communities <br />that have done this type of redevelopment work. <br /> <br />3. Quad Press – Revolving Door <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that the Quad Press has offered to run an article outlining the <br />accomplishments within the City during the past year and asked for Council input for that <br />article. <br /> <br />Council Members provided input for the article to the Mayor. <br /> <br />4. Driveway for St. Genevieve <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that Mr. Wilharber had contacted her concerning the driveway <br />location for St. Genevieve as the Church had asked for input from police and fire and <br />police and fire would prefer to have direction from Council to provide input. <br /> <br />Council agreed that input on driveway location from police and fire is important and <br />directed Staff to obtain the information from police and fire. <br /> <br />5. Cable for the Police Station <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that the Staff at Circle Pines has reviewed the <br />franchise agreement and finds nothing in the agreement that would require the cable <br />company to provide service to the new facility at no expense to the cities. <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br />
