Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 6, 2005 <br />The Applicant indicated that the fabric is water permeable. <br /> <br />Chair Hanson asked whether the total tree number is up or down. <br /> <br />The Applicant indicated it is up three to five and with the plants there are 75 across the <br />front. <br /> <br />Chair Hanson asked whether the green space requirement is met and noted that 10% of <br />green space is required. <br /> <br />The Applicant indicated they have a large area in the back that is all natural and there is a <br />strip of sod done by the neighboring property. <br /> <br />Commissioner Klennert Hunt indicated that she would not have an issue with this plan as <br />long as it meets the requirements. <br /> <br />The Applicant indicated that the watershed district representative has approved the <br />landscaping as planned. <br /> <br />The Commission agreed that the plan looks nice and asked that any future deviations <br />from an approved plan be brought to the City for approval. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Klennert Hunt, seconded by Commissioner Love to <br />approve the amended landscape redesign for 2016 Gateway Circle as presented. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Ordinance #6 Nuisance – 6A Nuisance Abatement & #39 Signage <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Staff continues to research how to handle this <br />situation and will report back. He then said that the City may be able to regulate the size <br />and number of signs but regulating the content is not as easy to do. <br /> <br />VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />1. Downtown Redevelopment <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson showed a drawing of the proposed downtown area. He then <br />indicated that they are working with the library on having a resource library in town. <br /> <br />Commissioner Klennert Hunt suggested Commissioners attend the next public meeting if <br />possible as she really got a lot of information and felt it was very beneficial. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Terway indicated Council has been telling people that this will be <br />developer driven. <br /> <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br />
