<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> <br />FOR RESIDENT INPUT ON PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS OF CITY CODE <br />CHAPTER 156 <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br />Centerville, Minnesota will be meeting and consider resident input regarding proposed <br />City Code modifications to Chapters 156 on September 1, 2009 in City Hall Council <br />Chambers located at 1880 Main Street, Centerville, Minnesota 55038 commencing at <br />6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter. A listing of modifications are outlined below: <br /> <br />156.103 New section as follows: <br /> <br />(F) Roofing materials on single family attached and detached residential structures over <br />120 square feet shall be tile, shakes, shingles, copper or architectural metal roof sheeting <br />with factory applied color coatings (and are installed with concealed fasteners). <br />Materials and installation must conform to the building codes then in effect. <br /> <br />Amend 156.107 (A) Accessory Structures-Residential Uses <br /> <br />(12) Neither building with metal roots and exterior walls and covering a total (exterior) <br />area in excess of 120 square feet, nor any other buildings with metal roofs shall be <br />permitted in any residential or mixed use district (except where the principal structure <br />has a permitted architectural metal roof, in which case a metal roof of the same <br />permitted materials may be used). Pole-type buildings and rigid frame structures with <br />membrane roof or sides, are also prohibited all zoning districts. <br /> <br />Complete text of this Chapter may be obtained from City Hall or on the City’s Web <br />Site. <br /> <br />The City Hall is ADA accessible. Requests for hearing assisted devices or a sign <br />language interpreter must be received before 4:00 p.m., August 28, 2009. All persons <br />interested are invited to attend and to be heard, verbally or in writing.
