<br />City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />August 26, 2009 <br />Mayor Capra stated that City Engineer Statz, City Administrator Larson and Public <br />Works Director Palzer should all review the plan before it is signed by City <br />Engineer Statz. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member <br /> <br />Paar, to authorize the City Engineer’s signature for approval of the Plan, after <br />his review with the City Staff. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />IX.ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1.City Administrator, Dallas Larson <br /> <br />th <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the traffic signal at CSAH14 & 20 Avenue is now <br />working. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the official <br />completion of CSAH 14 would be held on September 21, 2009. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Tracie McBride Park – Problem Oriented Policing <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee stated that some of the parents are getting together to keep a close eye <br />on Tracie McBride Park. He explained that there are about a dozen kids causing problems <br />at the park. <br /> <br />Councilmember Paar stated that Sgt. Aldridge is doing more to get Problem Oriented <br />Policing strategies involved. He encouraged residents to call the police if they see <br />anything unusual so the police can take a report. <br /> <br />3. Downtown Crosswalk Striping – Anoka County <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that Anoka County plans to redo the crosswalk striping at <br />Centerville and CSAH14 along with the one by Progress Road. <br /> <br />Councilmember Paar stated that the one near Progress Road was starting to chip away, and <br />he would like to know if this was a warranty issue. <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz stated that he would work with them to get it corrected. <br /> <br /> 4. Private Driveway Restoration in Conjunction with 2009 Street Project <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz stated that he spoke with the contractor regarding the two projects in <br />town. The contractor offered to redo the entire driveways, for the residents who requested <br />it at the property owner’s expense. City Engineer Statz stated that he has discussed the <br />legal issues with City Attorney Glaser. <br /> <br /> City Engineer Statz stated that, if the resident does have Forest Lake Contracting do the <br />entire driveway, they would have to make sure they are not double charged for the first <br />portion of the driveway that is in the City’s project. <br />Page 7 of 8 <br /> <br />
