<br />PROCLAMATION <br />Homelessness Awareness Month <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka County Community Continuum of Care, along with the Heading <br />Home committee is sponsoring a unique, countywide education and awareness campaign <br />to help end homelessness in our shared communities. The month of November will mark <br />the SLEEP OUT 2009, Be Part of Something "I, 2nd Annual Community Challenge; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the SLEEP OUT 2009 provides a unique opportunity for the City of <br />Centerville to join forces with communities across Anoka County in an effort to promote <br />education and awareness to help end homelessness; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka County Community Continuum of Care and the Heading Home <br />Anoka committees playa vital role in bringing together the community and establishing <br />needed partnerships to support homelessness prevention efforts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of City ofCenterville be aware of the <br />importance ofhomelessness prevention and the impact their participation can have on <br />ensuring that all individuals and families have access to a wann, safe place to call home <br />in our community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, community partnerships, awareness, and the desire to provide wann, safe <br />housing in our community. These are the important themes of the SLEEP OUT 2009, Be <br />Part of Something 1.1, 2nd Annual Community Challenge. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, I, Mary Capra, Mayor of the City ofCenterville, on behalf of the <br />City Council, do hereby call upon all citizens of Centerville to join the Anoka County <br />Community Continuum of Care and Heading Home Anoka committee's in supporting <br />The SLEEP OUT 2009, Be Part of Something _,2nd Annual Community Challenge <br />during the month of November. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the month of November is hereby proclaimed <br />"Homelessness Awareness" month in Centerville. <br /> <br />Proclaimed this 14th day of October. <br /> <br />Mary Capra, Mayor <br /> <br />Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br />
