I have been a resident of <br />the City of Centerville for over ten years. I live here with my wife of 18 years and <br />my two boys, William (15 years old) and Devin (13 years old). I grew up in the small <br />town of Ely, Minnesota. My wife and I chose the City of Centerville because we <br />wanted to move back to a small town. I have always believed in the health, safety <br />and welfare of the city that I live. <br /> <br />In 1999, I moved to Centerville and within six months got appointed by the <br />Centerville City Council to the Centennial Lakes Police Commission. I served on the <br />commission for four years. The structure of the commission was changed and the <br />civilian positions were eliminated. After serving on the commission I decided to go <br />back to school to get my Master's Degree. I recently completed this degree in Police <br />Leadership. I have been a police otlicer for over 20 years. I have been a <br />sergeant/supervisor for over eight years. I have strong leadership skills that I would <br />like to use to help the City of Centerville maintain and improve the health, safety and <br />welfare of the city. <br /> <br />I believe a good Council Member truly believes in the city that they represent. I truly <br />believe in the City of Centerville. I believe in patronizing local businesses. My <br />children both attended Centerville Elementary School and are currently attending the <br />High School and Middle School. I believe that a person must do more then just live <br />in a community but truly be part of that community. If given the opportunity to serve <br />the residents of Centerville, I will serve them to the best of my ability. <br />
