2. The event will be funded via local business sponsors and a nominal user fee of <br /> $20 per participant. The actual cost for 2009 was about $40 per participant. <br /> The sponsors cover the majority of the cost. <br /> 3. There was a net gain in 2009 of approximately $1100, which is available for <br /> funding the 2010 event. <br /> 4. Fee structure for 2010 is: <br /> a. $10 for children 12 and under <br /> b. $ 20 for participants who register on -line or at the City's offices prior to Aug <br /> 7th. <br /> c. $25 for race day registrants. <br /> d. The first 60 people to register will be awarded a water bottle. <br /> e. Last year we offered a lower fee for early registration. That did not seen <br /> affective. We have 60 water bottles left over from last year. This is a no cost <br /> item. <br /> 5. This is a USA Track and Field(USATF) certified course. <br /> 6. The race will be conducted using USATF rules. <br /> 7. The Race Director (assisted by the City staff) is responsible for obtaining <br /> required permits and coordination. <br /> 8. There will be a written contingency plan. (This was a requirement place on us <br /> last year by the Centennial Lakes Police Department (CCPD). In 2009 we <br /> needed the plan and used it. The plan will be updated based on 2009 lessons <br /> learned. <br /> Course Changes <br /> The course will be the same as 2009 with some minor changes. These changes <br /> will require a re- certification of the track distance by a USATF official. There is a <br /> $175 fee. The changes in the course are based on some know facts and at least <br /> three assumptions. <br /> Anoka County is building a new trail in the Rice Creek Regional Park that runs <br /> from County Road 14 to the Centerville Lake beach. Assuming that the trail is <br /> completed, we will be expected to use that trail avoiding the need for road closures <br /> Pat Branch Page 3 <br />
