We may be able to <br /> borrow them from the Lions. <br /> 2. Parade <br /> a. Last year we shared volunteers with the parade. Tom Lee organized and <br /> recruited the volunteers. I have sent Tom an e -mail note asking for the same <br /> service. <br /> b. Last year the run paid for all the volunteers shirts. The bright color really <br /> made their shirts stand out. The volunteers were a super team. Paying for <br /> their shirts was a real bargain. Will do the same in 2010. <br /> 3. Lexington 5K <br /> I will work with The Lexington Fire Department's 5K as a volunteer and will <br /> approach them about shared flyers. We could put our information on one side and <br /> theirs on the other and pass them out at races earlier in the summer or hang them <br /> on Centerville and Lexington door knobs. <br /> 4. The Citizen <br /> a. Debra Barns, The Citizen editor, provided great support. She published at <br /> least three articles I wrote for release. She also wrote a nice post race article. <br /> We will do this again. <br /> b. We place some paid ads in The Citizen. We will do this again. <br /> c. Ms Barns volunteered as the race photographer. She did a great job and <br /> provided us with all of her photos. I intend to use them in an e -mail <br /> campaign.
