Motion carried. <br /> Centennial Fire District - March 6 <br /> MOTION by Councilmember Brenner, seconded Councilmember Powers - Rasmussen to approve <br /> the Centennial Fire Districts disbursements of March 6, 1997, Motion carried. <br /> SET AGENDA: <br /> Senior Housing <br /> Water Interconnect <br /> 1997 Seal Coat Program <br /> A Letter from Circle/Lex Police Department <br /> Lions Club <br /> Police Commission <br /> MOTION by Councilmember Brenner, seconded by Councilmember Powers - Rasmussen to <br /> approve the set agenda. Motion carried. <br /> PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br /> APPEARANCES: <br /> Kathryn Force of MSA - Water Supply Plan - <br /> Kathryn Force was present to discuss the highlighted changes to the water supply plan. <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht was present at 6:19 P.M. <br /> Ms. Force discussed changes to Chapter 6, Water Tower. The 400,000 gal. water tower will be <br /> constructed by year 2000. In addition, assuming that the wells are down then the water tower <br /> will provide adequate storage capacity. Mr. Nyberg suggested, an odd -even sprinkling ban during <br /> days at 90% of pumping capacity, although if the city uses 100% of the pumping capacity a <br /> sprinkling ban is required. Mr. Nyberg suggested adopting a sprinkler ban ordinance to maintain <br /> some type of control. Ms. Force mentioned cities usually establish a team for city sprinkling bans. <br /> Mayor Wilharber asked, "Whose normally on the sprinkling ban team ?" Ms. Force replied, <br /> usually the water superintendent spearheads the program. <br /> Ms. Force discussed changes to Chapter 7, Interconnect. Ms. Force discussed using the <br /> interconnect in conjunction with the water tower. Mayor Wilharber understood the interconnect <br /> will be used in emergency situations. Mr. Nyberg agreed the interconnect will be used as a back <br /> up after the water tower is in place. <br /> MOTION by Brenner, seconded by Helmbrecht to approve the highlighted changes to the <br /> Surface Water Supply Plan (SWMP) and to submit to the Met Council and Minnesota <br /> Department of Natural Resources. Motion carried. <br />
