MEM <br /> DATE : March 6, 1997 <br /> TO Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM : Jim March <br /> RE Appearance of Mike Black of Royal Oaks Realty concerning <br /> the Lakeland Hills Development <br /> Mr. Mike Black is going to be present to discuss the issues of <br /> sidewalks in their development and the amount of money that they <br /> will contribute towards extending watermain either across <br /> Clearwater Creek or north on Centerville Road and then east down <br /> Peltier Lake Drive. <br /> Dave Nyberg and I met with Mike Black and Marcel Ebensteiner of <br /> Royal Oaks Realty, Inc. on Thursday morning. The developer's <br /> feel that the creek crossing would cost no more than $45,000. <br /> Dave and I argued that the crossing could be closer to $75,000 <br /> all things being considered. The actual cost would probably fall <br /> somewhere in between. We will discuss this further at the <br /> Council meeting. I mentioned that even though the road would be <br /> constructed to 7 ton standards, in the eyes of the City, <br /> sidewalks would be a nice amenity to this development. I <br /> suggested running a sidewalk on the west side of the street loop <br /> from Main Street to Main Street. I will discuss this further at <br /> the Council meeting. <br />
