City Council Meeting February 12, 1997 <br /> Mr. Qamhieh asked why the road wasn't done right since it was redone in 1987? Mr. <br /> Qamhieh felt the road was done haphazardly and felt there should be an Engineer <br /> Inspector. Nyberg responded the roads should be seal coated regularly. Nyberg drove <br /> down Peltier Lake Drive and didn't notice any dips or sways. <br /> Rezoning Lakeland HiIJ from 113 to R2 <br /> MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Hehnbrecht to rezone the proposed Lakeland Hills <br /> from R3 to R2 contingent upon the final plat approval. Mayor Wilharber yes, Helmbrecht <br /> yes, Brenner yes, Buckbee yes, Powers - Rasmussen absent. <br /> Preliminary Plat Approval for Lakeland Aillc <br /> MOTION by Helmbrecht, seconded by Mayor Wilharber to approve the preliminary plat <br /> for Lakeland Hills contingent upon Army Corp of Engineers, RCWD, DNR all agencies <br /> and Engineers approval. Mayor Wilharber yes, Helmbrecht yes, Buckbee yes, Powers - <br /> Rasmussen nay, Brenner abstained. <br /> Set Informational Public Meeting Hearing for Peltier Lake Drive <br /> MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to set the Peltier Lake Drive Public <br /> Information Meeting on April 2, 1997, at 7:00 PM. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Eagle Pass <br /> Helmbrecht questioned the sewer connection areas in Eagle Pass? Nyberg explained the <br /> sewer drains from Dupre and connects on Main Street where it drains south to north_ <br /> Helmbrecht asked what the tree planting agreement was with Eagle Pass, since some <br /> builders are requesting the home owners plant the trees. Nyberg said he would check the <br /> Developers Agreement. Helmbrecht mentioned several people building in Eagle Pass have <br /> commented on the cost of building permit fees. <br /> Wel head Protection Plan- Joint Powers Agreement <br /> Gaustad explained the US EPA is requiring the Minnesota Department of Health to <br /> complete the states delineation's, The State Health Department was present at the last <br /> Wellhead Protection Meeting and suggested completing the required profiles for Anoka <br /> County JPA cities at no cost to the cities or county. <br /> MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to ratify the JPA Group <br /> recommendation to discontinue the Phase I consultant selection process; and authorize <br /> commencement of the Phase II work set forth in parts 1, 2, and 3 of the Minnesota <br /> Department of Health (MDH) proposal at zero cost to the city. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Facilitator for Strategic Plan <br /> March suggested the Brimeyer proposals and suggested setting a date. <br /> MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to direct city staff to authorize Brimeyer <br /> to facilitate a meeting at the time of the facilitators request.
