Green Company llj fr
Paul Kauppi, Howard R. Green Company
JIB' M1ta+
The meeting opened with discussion on the sewer issue for the 20th Avenue Project. Dave
Ahrens indicated that Lino Lakes is planning to install a sewer line along Main Street, along
the identical alignment that Met Council is proposing. This alignment would be a temporary
alignment that would connect into their Otter Lake Road Sanitary Sewer line. Once Met
Council does their project the sewer line installed by Lino Lakes along Main Street would be
turned over to Met Council. This will be put in underneath the interstate as soon as possible
in the Spring, to facilitate sanitary sewer waste from the proposed new development on the
plat south of Main Street that Gerald Rehbein is currently involved in. Dave Ahrens said that
he would be looking for some reimbursement from Met Council. They will be a working with
Met Council through next year.
We asked Mr. Ahrens how deep the sanitary sewer was at Otter Lake Road. He said 15 to 20-
feet deep. We asked him whether that sewer line could be extended to Main Street, to
possibly serve as a gravity line for the Centerville Industrial Park. He said that he would give
us a copy of the plan profile sheet that we could use to try and determine how far south we
could extend this sewer line on 20th.
We then talked about extending watermain down 20th and the potential meter vault and
watermain interconnection. Dave Ahrens indicated that the plan now is for Lino Lakes to
extend water from Cedar Street, north to under Main Street along the 21st Avenue corridor as
early as next spring. This project will probably be let in April or May with construction
occurring during the summer. Again, like the sanitary sewer, this project is a direct result of
Gerald Rehbein's petition for utilities along the 21st Avenue corridor to serve the new
development.
Page 1 O: \proj\260085 \085- 1109.dec.mm
1326 Energy Park Drive • St. Paul, MN 55108 • 612/644 -4389 fax 612/644 -9446 toll free 800/888 -2923
