RESOLUTION 99 -06 <br /> ESTABLISHING EARTH DAY <br /> We, the residents of Centerville, do hereby support and celebrate Earth Day 1999 in the <br /> Quad Cities; and, <br /> Whereas, the protection and preservation of the environment benefits all people; and <br /> Whereas, the preservation of natural resources ensures the health and happiness of <br /> generations to come; and <br /> Whereas, living a sustainable lifestyle helps maintain species diversity in all kingdoms of <br /> life; and <br /> Whereas, clean air, pure water, and rich topsoil are necessary for continuing life systems; <br /> and <br /> Whereas, celebrating community promotes a safe, productive and vibrant place to live; and <br /> Whereas, Earth Day is celebrated nationally on the 22 day of April. <br /> Therefore let it be resolved that Saturday, April 24 1999 be designated Quad Cities Earth <br /> Day 1999 for the Cities of Centerville, Lino Lakes, Circle Pines, and Lexington. <br /> ADOPTED BY THE CENTERVILLE CITY COUNCIL ON THE 24 DAY OF <br /> MARCH, 1999. <br /> Mayor Tom Wilharber <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Ry -Chet Gaustad, CMC City Clerk <br />
