One item did catch us by <br /> surprise though, and that was the cost of the construction permit. As we had budgeted what our builder <br /> considered a nominal $4,000.00, we were caught off -guard by the $7,500.00 cost of this permit. Although we <br /> are able to meet this cost, it has required the use of moneys already budgeted for our yard fence. <br /> • <br /> In Light of the above, I respectfully request the council consider refunding to us $3,500.00, following the closing <br /> date on our home (June 28, 1999), adding this amount to city taxes due for calendar year 1999.
