MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: April 8,1999 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM: Ms. Ry -Chel Gaustad, CMC City Clerk <br /> RE: Rezone Request for Property East of Willow Glen <br /> Mr. Gerald Rehbein submitted a request to rezone approximately 24 acres north of Main <br /> Street and east of the Willow Glen subdivision. Mr. Rehbein also submitted a concept plan <br /> to accompany the rezone request. During the March 2, 1999 Planning and Zoning meeting <br /> the Commission discussed the possibilities of rezoning the above stated property. Then <br /> again, the Commission considered the proposal during its April meeting. After long <br /> deliberation the Commission took the following action: <br /> •mil• 'In r b .. id mi i 11 11ler <br /> Hanson not to rnrnmmend the rezone request to the Council becau i is n ot <br /> consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Further Discussion: <br /> Mr Hann stated that a decision ma now and und er the circumstances may <br /> he made in past and result in an undesireable situation. <br /> Buckbee, Han son aye - Brouss rd Vickers nav <br /> In order to authorize a rezone request, the motion requires a "4!5"Council vote. Mr. <br /> Rehbein graciously agreed to sign a 60 -day Land Use waiver document exempting the City <br /> from taking action within 60 -days. <br />
