Vaccination Against Rabies • the inoculation of a dog, cat, farm animal, or <br /> other animal kept as a pet with a rabies vaccine licensed for that species by the United <br /> States Department of Agriculture and administered in accordance with recommendations <br /> listed in the current year's compendiun of Anitnal Rabies Control. The vaccination must <br /> be performed by or under supervision of a veterinarian. <br /> Z. Substantial Bodily Harm - bodily injury which involves a temporary or <br /> • <br /> permanent but substantial disfigurement, or which causes temporary or permanent but <br /> substantial loss or impairment of the function of any bodily member or organ, or which <br /> causes a fracture of any bodily member. <br /> AA. Under Restraint - a dog is under restraint if <br /> 1) the animal is within a secure vehicle; <br /> 2) the animal is within a secure fence or <br /> building within the owner's property; <br /> 3) the animal is picketed in accordance <br /> with this Section; <br /> 4) the animal is controlled by a leash, <br /> provided that when persons or other animals <br /> are within twenty (20) feet of the animal the <br /> leash is shortened to six (6) feet; or <br /> 5) the animal: <br /> (a) is within private property, or is <br /> involved in a scheduled dog show or <br /> obedience demonstration or trial, or is <br /> legally involved in hunting or <br /> retrieving game animals; and <br /> (b) is controlled by a competent person <br /> and is immediately obedient to that <br /> person's command. <br /> BB.
