MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: May 6, 1999 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM: Ry -Chef Gaustad, CMC City Clerk <br /> RE: Ordinance #S - Firearms <br /> During the Planning Commission meeting a lengthy discussion broke out regarding <br /> restricting or eliminating firearms: The Planning Commission made the following motion: <br /> Motion by Linda Broussard Vickers, seconded by Brain Hanson that no <br /> consensus was reached among and if the Council feels its a <br /> a pressing issue, perhaps Council can hold a public hearing. Motion carried <br /> unanhnously. <br /> The Police Department requested Council #5 to include single <br /> projectiles. After the Council and Planning Commission heard the Police Department's <br /> concerns, OfficerBlank and I recreated enclosed Ordinance #5.
