This restudy is being <br /> accomplished by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as part of a document <br /> entitled "Flood Insurance Study, City of Centerville, Minnesota, Anoka County," with an effective <br /> date of June 2, 1999. You received a letter from FEMA dated March 3, 1999 (copy enclosed) <br /> advising the City to make appropriate revisions to its floodplain regulations by the June 2, 1999 <br /> effective date. <br /> The purpose of our telephone call was to offer assistance to the City of Centerville in determining <br /> the necessary floodplain ordinance revisions that must be adopted in conformance with 44 CFR <br /> Section 60.3(d). You agreed that DNR Waters should outline below the floodplain ordinance <br /> revisions that would be necessary to Centerville's " Ordinance 33 -A District Floodplain <br /> Management Ordinance, Two- Map Format." These recommended changes are outlined below to <br /> reflect the City's updated Flood Insurance Rate Map in a one -map format: <br /> - Amend Section 2.1 to read: <br /> "Land to Which Ordinance Applies: This ordinance shall apply to all lands within the <br /> jurisdiction of the City of Centerville shown on the Official Zoning Map and/or the <br /> attachments thereto as being located with the boundaries of the Floodway, Flood Fringe, <br /> or General Flood Plain Districts." <br /> - Amend Section 2.2 to read: <br /> "Establishment of Official Zoning Map: The Official Zoning Map together with all <br /> materials attached thereto is hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this <br /> DNR information: 612- 296 -6157, 1- 800 -766 -6000 • TTY: 612- 296 -5484, 1- 800 -657 -3929 <br /> An Equal Opponunity Employer a Primed an Recycled Paper Containing a <br /> Whu Values Diversity CA Minimum of Ill% Post- Consumer Waste <br />
