J <br /> Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Recommendation <br /> Mr. March distributed the top three Deputy Clerk/Treasurer candidate applications and resumes. <br /> Furthermore, the interviewing review board agreed on the top candidate and Mr. March <br /> recommended the Deputy Clerk/Treasurer position be offered to the top scorer, Theresa Bender. <br /> Councilmember Buckbee moved to approve the Administrators recommendation for the Deputy <br /> ler Tr -.s rer .osition. Councilmemb -r :renner seconded the motion. Motion carried <br /> unanimously_ <br /> Individual Sewage Treatment SvstemLaST.S) <br /> Mr. Peterson reported to the Council that the City received notice that according to recently <br /> enacted state statutes, by January 1, 1999, local government units must have adopted an ISTS <br /> ordinance as restrictive as the current state rules (Minn. R. Chp. 7080). Anoka County adopted <br /> the current state rule, with some modifications and on January 1, 1999 the county law will govern <br /> local units of government that have not adopted an ISTS ordinance. The Council requested that <br /> Staff supply a copy of Anoka County's letter and place the issue on the next Council agenda. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 1. Authorization to pav for Staff's Holiday Dinner <br /> 2. Toys for Joy Drop Off Location - City Hall 1880 Main Street <br /> Ms. Gaustad reported that "Toys for Joy" is a community effort that assists families with <br /> toys and food during the holiday season. In addition, the city began participating in "Toys <br /> for Joy" fall of 1996 and the program has helped several citizens. Finally, the request is <br /> to have City Hall approved as a Toy drop off and an application pick up location. <br /> Councilmember Brenner moved to approve the consent agenda. Councilmember Buckbee <br /> seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Alexandra House. Ina <br /> Councilmember Buckbee questioned Staff if the City could donate M.S. Society Funds toward the <br /> Alexandra House and requested Staff explore and present donation options to the Council. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Councilmember Buckbee moved to ad t he Council meeting Councilmember Brenner <br /> seconded the motion.
