NOT APPROVED <br /> • <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> MEETING <br /> TUESDAY, JUNE 1, 1999 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br /> Centerville held its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, June 1, 1999, at City Hall, 1880 <br /> Main Street. <br /> PRESENT: Chair Kathy Welk <br /> Linda Broussard Vickers <br /> Al LaMotte <br /> Brian Hanson <br /> ABSENT: NONE <br /> STAFF( CONSULTANTS: Ry -Chel Gaustad, City Clerk <br /> I OPENING <br /> Chair Welk opened the Planning and Zoning meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br /> II PUBLIC HEARING (S) <br /> A. Variance Request - D. Killian (1695 Sorel Street) <br /> Mr. Killian explained that his wife is handicapped and needs ramp access into their home. <br /> He proposed to convert his porch into a ramp. Currently, the porch is on the set back <br /> line. Ms. Broussard Vickers felt other homeowners enjoy the right to access their <br /> home. Whereas, the Killian family does not have access, nor enjoyment. Mr. Killian <br /> mentioned at the last Council meeting the Attorney did not have a concern with the <br /> request. <br /> Motion by Ms. Broussard Vickers, seconded by Mr. Hanson to close the pubic <br /> hearing. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> B. Rezone Request - Rebbein Properties <br /> Ms. Gaustad gave a synopsis of the rezone request to transform property identified as R1 <br /> (Rural Residential) to 11 (Industrial). Also, the property is identified in the Comprehensive <br /> Plan as park areas. <br />
