User unknown
Hi Jim
A couple of thoughts on the revision of the city ordinances.
I believe people should have the right to choose the method they want for
starting a lawn. They should be able to choose sodding, seeding, or
hydroseeding. Seeding, in the long run, obtains a better lawn. The roots
immediately go into the soil whereas sodding, the roots take some time before
they penetrate into the soil beneath. I think you will find that the majority
will prefer sodding. For those few who would like to seed, they should have
that choice.
Also, there should be a time limit for people to put their lawn in. Down the
street from us, there is a home owner who has lived in their home for two years
and still don't have their back yard in. They live on a corner so the yard can
be seen from the street. Also, they weeds only make it hard for their neighbors
to keep their lawn as weedless as possible.
Across from us, Avilon still hasn't graded the people's yard. They have been in
for a month now. That should have been done before they moved in. There are
two houses still without driveways and have to park their cars in the street.
The one has three cars.
Hope you consider these suggestions.
ma Essex
